Child Care

Hi! I'm Amanda, as a mother myself, I understand the importance of finding a care provider who loves, nurtures and protects your children as her own, so that is what I do with children in my care! I'm a reliable, and nurturing childcare provider. I'm CPR/First Aid certified & have several continuing education childcare certificates. I've worked as an infant/toddler teacher for 4 years, as a personal care attendant for a child with special needs & cerebral palsy and as a nanny & babysitter. I love sharing foreign language, reading, music, baking & arts w/ children. I'm great at engaging children, & helping them feel comfortable, respected, and loved. I have my own fully insured, reliable transportation and an impeccable driving record. I'm looking for positions where my unschooled 6 & 8 y. o. sons would be welcome to accompany me (excepting weekends and evenings when I don't need to bring them) they are well-behaved and love to be around other children of all ages.

Amanda took care of my three children (6, 3&3) for a month full-time when our other childcare wasn't available at the last-minute. Her sons got along with my kids very well and they all had a blast together. She took all 5 all around town to do activities regularly. She also had to deal with potty training issues and went out of her way to clean up after them including laundry (not in the job description!). Appreciated her dependability so much!

My name is Stephanie and I have a Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Studies, with a concentration in infants, toddlers and preschool from Auburn University. I have been a lead teacher in numerous classrooms ranging from the age of 2 months to 5-year-olds. I have my Director's Certificate through the state of Colorado and have worked myself up from Director of Curriculum to Director of a Preschool in less than a year. I have recently left my position as Director to pursue other opportunities to advance my career. I look forward to getting to know you and your family some more!

Stephanie is very good with children. She did crafts with our son and worked on important skills. She provided childcare for our one year old for about 5 months. It's the other areas that we had some problems. Dependability, for instance. Stephanie once refused to show up several hours after 1-2 inches of snow had stopped falling (the roads were completely fine and she drives an SUV) leaving our family in a bind. We would also regularly came home to unwashed dishes and a living room that looked like a tornado hit it without being cleaned up at the end of the day. She would also charge us for mileage if she drove our child less than a mile, despite the bonuses we paid her. Stephanie refused to watch our boy if he had a low grade fever/stomach bug within 24 hours. Finally, she also refused to provide us with the items we needed for our tax documentation after multiple requests. Stephanie is a knowledgeable and caring childcare provider but could improve in these other areas.

I have more than 15 years of experience as a Social Worker in Europe. Moreover, I love children and I like to take care of them. When there is more than one child, I can handle any situation that may arise between the kids. I am also willing to take the children outside, take them to the park so they can play, ride bikes, and have a good time. I like to help kids learn new things such as Math, Reading, Drawing, etc. In other words, I like to occupy them with fun and productive activities. I am also a very good cook, and I like to prepare different kinds of healthy snacks. I am comfortable changing diapers, giving children a shower or a bath, changing their clothes and helping them go to bed. I have computer literacy and speak Bulgarian, Russian and Romanian languages, as well. My experience as a babysitter in the United States includes: 1. Taking care of 3-year-old twins, brother and sister. For a year, my duties as a sitter were to play with them, feed them, change their diapers, give them baths, and put them to bed. 2. Taking care of two brothers, a 6-year-old boy and a 7-year-old boy, for eight months. The older boy had Autism and his care was more special.
